Samuel Beckett

Samuel Beckett was born in 1906. He is writer of Irish roots. From 1938 he lived in Paris and after the war he started to write on French.

In his books he was pessimistic about the world and he shows it like a game of power where the human being is diminished to a psychological and spiritual vegetating and to a meaningless life filled with sufferings and waiting for salvation.

He won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1969. Some of his works are: ‘’Waiting for Godot’’, ‘’Murphy’’, ‘’Molloy’…
