John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was a fantasy writer and a brillian linguist born in South Africa, where he shortly spent his childhood. Later, he worked as a professor at Oxford in England. His most famous work was The Hobbit which became an instant hit, after which Tolkien was paid to write the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. He created an imaginary world Arda as well as the entire language Elvenlatin.
