Otfried Preussler
Otfired Preussler is a well-recognized German author of many children books and he was born in 1923. He came from a family who worked in glass refinery. Soon after his graduation he was called to join the army. He was held captive by the Russians.
After he lived in captivity with his family for 5 years they ran away. He finished school and started working as a school principle.
He spent so much time with kids so it’s no wonder he decided to write for them. His literary work began with radioplays and then he started writing novels.
He spent most of his life texting with kids across the world. He wrote 25 books translated to about 40 languages and sold in over 50 million copies.
He wrote: The little water sprite, The little witch, The little ghost. He died in 2013.
