René Guillot
René Guillot, born 1900, was a French writer who taught mathematics in Dakar for over 20 years. He traveled the country during this time and set many of his stories there. He also received the Hans Christian Andersen Award, which is presented to an author whose “complete works have made a lasting contribution to children’s literature.”
He wrote a two books about the horses, one of them being used as a movie script.He dies in France in 1969.
